It was possession of meth under a gram. I was told that "they" could not hire me, but, later,I was told that "they" had a convicted felon in their employment, who was a violent offender(3 times!) I was only hurting myself.

  1. That will depend on the employer.

  2. A felony only keeps you from being employed by certain establishments, and then only in certain positions within that establishment.  For example, a convicted felon cannot be a police officer or dispatcher, but could be employed by the police department as maintenance personnel.

  3. most employers don't care what you did 5 years ago. minor crimes are often overlooked after 2 years.

  4. The rest of your life.
