depending on which ipod. i know that for the classic, its about 36 hrs for music and about 6 hrs for movies

I'd say 8 hours, probably more than that, look at www.apple.com   :) they tell how long it lasts, they're all different, the shuffles i think have the lowest time..like 4 hours, but just go to apple's website and check :)
