How long does a game of Monopoly last?

Question

I was wondering because I've heard of different answers. Somebody told me that the game can go on for 2 days, another one told me 6 hours. I was wondering how long it was intended to go on and how long it can. Thanks!

for a normal game like an hour or two-at max 4 hours

basically when i play we set a timer for however long you have time for so maybe about an hour or two?

Depends on the number players and if anyone really knows how to play, it could last hours or ten minuets when someone gets bored and quits.

A normal "home game" should last about two hours, but depends on on the type and number of players.  It's important to play "by the rules", or it can go on longer than it should: Don't loan money, don't put money on free parking, auction properties if the person who lands on it doesn't want it, etc.

Tournament games are timed, and end after 90 minutes.

The longest game ever lasted 70 days.
