  1. An ant would die pretty quickly if you cut off it's head because their nervous system is like a spinal cord that runs from their  head to the end of them. Roaches on the other hand can live up to 2 weeks if you cut off their heads because their brain is located in the body of the insect. They die of starvation in 2 weeks cause they can't eat.
