How long does a hickey take to go away?

I got a hickey a little while ago and it's HUGE. I'm not kidding, it's huge. It's on my neck. It hurts too. How long will it take to go away and is there anything I can do to speed it up?

it takes a couple days the only suggestion i can say is heavy make up
