  1. about a competiton. im tight with scotti lago, and hes friends with shaun white amd we go boarding all the time but yea 1 comp. thats how long my last and shauns and scottis maybe 2 comps caus thue aucutally care abou their boards. im sponsered by monster its sick.

  2. It depends on which pro, how they ride, who they ride for, and so on... the other posts seem to focus on the top pro riders.   There are other levels of pro's that are sponsored, but are not well known names.  These guys typically get a couple of decks per season - unless they break, then they get replacements.  Those boards will last for a season and usually have enough life left in them to be sold to a friend.

  3. 1 contest or session. Depending on what they are riding.  Keep in mind these guys are factory sponsered, That means if they want to shred a fresh deck daily they can, Its not that pros wear out decks super fast, its that they are promoting a product, the sponser always wants pros deck looking fresh fresh for marketing purposes, so they will almost always be rocking brand new stuff

RL  you really think that it costs 1000 bucks to make the vapor?? Or any snowboard for that matter.  You must be a youngin..   These companies mass produce snowboards, it probally costs them like at most 200 to make a snowboard, the rest is profit!!!      Come on dude.>> Jeez.

Also when they sell 50,000 vapors @ 1000 bucks a pop They can definetly afford to give Keir as many as he wants,  And you think BUrton wants Keir dillon walking around with a $1000 snowboard with one tiny scratch on it. NO, they want them to have the fresh fresh nice nice.  Pros sell the snowboards.

  4. One?  I wouldn't say that fast.  Maybe a couple weeks to a month.  And yea, it does depend what they're riding.  I saw an ad for some company, and one rider, pretty well known, but I don't remember who, had his board standing on its tail with the base facing the cameras.  With the light, you could see where there had been scratches and some p-tex repairs.

Even if they are sponsored, most boards are in the range of $400-$600.  If a season lasts for about five months, with four weeks a month, and let's say a board is $500, that equates to $10,000 for a peak season for one rider.  That' doesn't include off season riding either.  So one day?

Imagine Keir Dillon with his Vapor.  That's a whole lotta mulah for one season.  But yea, pros can pretty much get new stuff whenever they want.  But it's not cost effective for their sponsors, bad for the environment, and it's stupid.
