  1. 7 days

  2. In NYS most pharmacy records are held for 5 years.  That's for filled and received prescriptions.  If you mean for a prescription you just brought in, it will vary from pharmacy to pharmacy, but most places will be from a few days to 2 weeks.  But please don't leave your prescription there for days on end and not pick it up.  Pick it up as soon as possible or call and advise the pharmacy of your intent.  Also, most prescriptions are valid from 1 year of the date written (controlled substances and other exceptions apply).

  3. 7 days

...after that we put in back into your prescription profile...so PLEASE make sure you come get it within 7 days...b/c its such an inconvenience when people come in like 10 days later looking for their prescription and we have to deal with their attitude b/c they forgot..
