How long does a "lis pendens" last if it was put on a piece of property thru the courts ??

Is there a time frame how long that can be attached or does it stay on the property until the issues are resolved ? than,s

  1. It stays until the court that issued it, release it.


  2. uh..a lis pendens is a legal notice in the public record that a legal action has begun or will begin against the property. Most states have a statute for the timeframe in which said suit must be filed. The lis pendens shouldn't be the issue; the underlying lawsuit it is announcing is where the concern should be.  

  3. It depends on your state.  You need to list that.
