  1. Eight days, seventeen hours, forty-nine minutes, one second.

  2. That depends on the stations format.  For CHR radio,

the term "new" might refer to a tune that just came out and has been out for 2-3 weeks.  After that, they might use the term "the latest from"...  CHR is a format known for breaking the new music first.  AC radio is known for jumping on songs 2-3 months after they have been played on CHR.

  3. That station must SUCK! I think like 3 weeks. GEEZ

  4. 2/3 weeks

  5. Depends.. To me personally, a new one is two to three weeks of release on the radio station (most songs stay 15+ weeks on charts or more)

However I've heard many stations playing songs in rotation 6 weeks or longer saying new songs (mainly Clear Channel stations).. song was number 3 and on the chart last 15 weeks and still new?!?!?!?

The old adage..It's new to you.. (most radio listeners only listen very rarely and won't catch some of the newer songs like hard core listeners)

  6. The station must suck.. because that song is as old as my grandfather! ( Kidding.. by the way )

I think a song is considered old as soon as it is off the " top 100 songs " list.
