My son is 5 years and 4 months old and just got his first loose tooth. I have no idea about the process of losing it. How long does the process take from loose to falling out? Anyone?

  1. Its really variable; depends on the tooth, the child, how much it gets tugged on, whatever.  But don't fret; you don't have to do a thing. Nature takes care of it and if it falls out on its own, it can't do any harm. Its tiny; it can't choke anyone, can't hurt anything, just celebrate the big event and don't worry at all!

  2. if he wiggles it alot it will fall out soon enuf it really depends how much

  3. about a mounth, but you better pull it out, anywaywhen i was Eleven, i was at the computer doing my homework, and my tooth fell out with my mouth shut and i choked on it and i passed out on the ground a blood trail comming out of my throat and a bloody tooth next to me.

  4. It depends on the child. If he wiggles it a lot, it should come out within a week. It may just come out when he's eating too. :)

  5. It could take a couple hours or several weeks. Our dentist reccomended that my daughter wiggle her tooth frequently and to twist it until it hurt and then turn it one more "notch". That's the terminology he used. It will come out when it's ready but to avoid inadvertently swallowing it our dentist recommended not just letting it fall out but to keep working on it until it comes out. It took my daughter's first tooth 3 weeks before it was loose enough to pull, but her second came out in 5 days.

  6. you may have to wait a couple of weeks but it will loosen up and then uncomforable to eat etc so you may have to pull on it just at the end with really clean fingers and tissue for a lil grip .... but make sure that the tooth is ready to come out ie... the gums still not attacthed to the tooth because then it will bleed and hurt .... if it doesnt bother your kid just let it happen naturally ......

  7. It could take up to 5 weeks until it comes out. It really depends on how much he fools around with it. If he hardly touches it, it'll take a while. If he's constantly moving it, I'd suspect about 2 weeks or less for it to come out.

  8. It depends how loose it is and how much he wiggles it. It could take a few weeks.

  9. I remember it taking me about anywhere from half a day to 3 weeks, depending on how much the kid plays with the loose tooth, making it looser!

  10. 2 weeks at most

  11. Ehh, its pretty long.

  12. It really depends,

if the kid is keen on getting it out they might wobble it more and that will cause it to come out quicker,

but it they dont mind it will come out in there own time...

it usually takes about 3 weeks-7 weeks
