What i mean is, if i drink a beer or two say at 7:00 PM, then i drink another 4 beers at around 10:00 PM, will the two beers i drank earlier have any effect on me or not? And if not or if so, about how long does alcohol stay in you, to where it will add up to the drinks you will drink later? In other words, if i drank two beers at 7.. then 4 more at 10, how many hours will the ones i drank at 7 effect me for...or add up to the ones i drink later.. Kind of confusing but, lol - Thanks.

  1. The liver can metabolize only a certain amount of alcohol per hour, regardless of the amount that has been consumed. The rate of alcohol metabolism depends, in part, on the amount of metabolizing enzymes in the liver, which varies among individuals. In general, after the consumption of one standard drink, the amount of alcohol in the drinker's blood (blood alcohol concentration, or BAC) peaks within 30 to 45 minutes. (A standard drink is defined as 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1.5 ounces of 80-proof distilled spirits, all of which contain the same amount of alcohol.)
