  1. in Australian rules footbal., there are four periods. with each period, (which is called a quater) is 25 mins long, plus stoppage time.

    Stopage time is basicly whenever the whistle is blown, and play stops, such as a goal or point is scored, free kick, mark, or out of bounds.


  2. There is 20 minutes of actual game play each quarter. But every time a goal is kicked or the ball goes out of bounds this time is stopped until play resumes again. Therefore each quarter averages around the 30 minute mark.

  3. 100 minutes. 25 for each quarter then there is approximately 5 or so minutes of 'time on' to make up for the ball being brought back to the centre, getting the ball back from the crowd etc.

  4. 100 mins, theres time on etc to take into acount aswell but thats about right.
