If you didn't turn it on its side, you can use it right away... if you did, wait a couple of hours.

Unless you turned it upside down and let the oil in the compressor drain, you should be able to install it and turn on right away.

Less time than it takes to ask that question.  They're not like a refrigerator.  They don't have pressurized coolant reservoirs that collect sediment.  Turn it on and get comfortable.  Oh, that itchy feeling is your electric bill, by the way.  OY!
