  1. Not long especially if it's in a can.  The beer will corrode the can within 6 months.

Stick with glass bottles, and store in a cool place that doesn't have big temperature "swings".

  2. if its unopened, for months and possibly even years. if its open it will start to taste worse after only a few hours.

  3. I had TONS of beer left over after my wedding social.

Nobody wanted that light beer c**p.

I'd say at least six months.

  4. It keeps as long as the label says. The only reason to refrigerate a sealed bottle is that it tastes like s++t , if it is warm when opened to drink

  5. It greatly depends on the style of beer but there's no inherent detriment to storing beer warm or cold, it's the light you've got to be worried about.  Keep your beer out of direct light (if bottled) and most standard beers should maintain their freshness for upwards of 6 months.  A stronger or more hoppy beer is going to have a longer shelf life.  Beer will essentially never go truly undrinkably bad though, the flavors will eventually begin to diminish starting with the hops.

  6. maaate, I would say a year as a good guide line

And as far as refrigeration goes I was travelling in the Sudan in 1980 and after a week in the desert travelling north from Kenya I saw a bottle of

"Camel" lager on the shelf, this was a town called  Juba, no pub

scarce electricity, didnt stop me it tasted like French champagne!!

    ha ha
