Bleach stays in your hair permanently. The only way to get rid of it is to grow your hair out and cut the bleached hair off as you go. You can try to color over it but that doesn't mean that it will go away. In fact, if you put a darker color over your bleached hair, the color will fade very fast revealing your bleach job again. Bleached hair does not absorb hair color.

bleach doesn't stay in your hair....it takes all off the pigment out of your hair...which is why your hair becomes so brittle and dry. You can further damage your hair by coloring over it, but it will fade very quickly because there are no natural pigments for the color to grasp.  Also it will turn grey as the color washes out... My suggestion, cut it as short as you can stand it and grow it back out
