How long does eye dilation usually last for?

I got my eyes dilated by my optometrist yesterday, I think at about 3 pm. It is now 12 am the next day (24+ hours! ) and my eyes are still slightly dilated. Anything within an inch of my eyes is blurry, and I am slightly sensitve to sunlight. Is this a serious problem? Should I just wait it off?

Just relax and if you still have the problem in the morning call the doctor.

It's normal. It should wear off.

I would go to the doctor just to check it out. I have my eyes dilated regularly as I have an eye problem that has been with me for 9 years .... for me it takes about 4 hours to be able to see clearly, I can even see the TV from the sofa..... by the next morning it is as normal and i don't have light sensitivity.

It is not a serious problem, but it is rather a long time.
