How long does flocculant take to work?

I am having a pool party and need to clear my water up quickly. I think a piece of paper got dropped in the pool because I am finding little pieces, and so they pool store told me to add flocculant. I did, and now should I wait to add my Baquacil oxidizer? Or should I add it now? How long does flocculant take to clear my pool up. My pool is not extremely cloudy.

you did not need flocculant at all all you needed to do was add some water clairifer with this all you do is backwask filter then walk around perimeter of pool pouring in clairifier  and save some to pour directly into skimmer nearest to pump pool company owner eleven years experince. 24 hours pool will be clear
