How long does it normally take to conceive once I have stopped taking birth control?

I heard a rumor that it could take up to one year from the time I stop taking the pill! UGH!

It can take that long. For me, I was on the pill for about 7 years, stopped it on March 19th, and got  pregnant 3 1/2 months later and got my first positive hpt July 10th. Everyone is different though. Good luck!!

I have heard it can take that long too, but everyone is different. Honestly though, I would wait 3 months before trying to get pregnant - any doctor would advise it. Your body needs time to adjust hormonally, and the safe time for this is 3 months. I got pregnant about 1.5 months after coming off the Pill and miscarried my little one - I have always wondered whether the Pill contributed to this, as I have heard similar stories, and did not take the advise of waiting.

It can be anything from a couple of years, down to that very afternoon. I've heard stories of both. Stop worrying about it and enjoy the activity :) Stress makes conception less likely.

there rally is no set time limit but i would wait til about 3 months to be on the safe side (you want all the pill to leave your system) plus in the mean time get on a prenatal pill daily and when you get closer and if your in a hurry to concieve try taking vitex with baby tylenol (low dose) daily and eat plenty of whole dairy at least 2 times a day! this will make you pregnant in like 1 month or less i promise!
