How long does it normally take to install a new BT line and then get broadband activated on it?

  1. A couple of weeks to install and activate then about a month to get broadband working.  That was my experience - the asian support team were like family by the end of it.   Yes you could say it was stressful but I'm out of therapy now and just taking one day at a time.


  2. You'll be talking weeks rather than days.

  3. Normally the line will take a few days to get installed but itll take a few days further for the broadband suppliers to be notified of this so although it normally takes 5 days to make a broadband line live and ready itll be longer and no doubt there will be problems and delays. Get the line in and then a week later order broadband to be safe.

  4. 2 - 4 weeks but they always make something up and lie to you

  5. it takes a week from date of ordering broadband for it to come on.   if u need a new line then it depends if there is one there already and its just connecting up or having to physically install new line, the latter will take longer
