Id like to know how long it will take for my true percula clowns to reach a large enough size to breed. Right now, the smaller one is about 1 in and the larger one is about 1 1/4 inches (there is a pretty noticable difference in size). Hoping that the big one will turn female and small one turns male, how long do you think it will take for them to mature so they can breed.

They tend to swim near eachother and have already accepted eachother; the big one occasionally nips the other to show dominance in the tank.

I heard that if you feed them more (like 2-3 times per day) and do frequent water changes (once a week) that they will grow faster, and if that is true, I am willing to do so.

  1. 9 months to a year. They will grow slightly faster if fed more , just make sure there is not extra food left in the water!
