How long does it take a Western diamondback rattlesnake to kill someone?

Also,how much venom is injected to achieve the time you answer.Please forgive me of any spelling or grammar issues.I live where this species is.It is also my favorite reptile and snake

  1. The Western Diamondback is not usually lethal.  However, the venom injected is usually very damaging to tissue.  Even with rapid treatment, there is usually a lot of muscle and skin damage and recovery takes quite a long time.

Very few people that get bitten by this species die..generally if you can get to a hospital within 30-45 minutes of being bitten, you can survive.  If you did not seek medical attention...you may or may not die..it would depend on many things: the health and age/size of the person being bitten, the health of the snake doing the biting, the amount of venom injected, etc.
