How long does it take a company to check your references?

Is there a set timeline that tells you how long it will take for them to check them all out?

This depends on how available your references are at home.  A good recruiter is checking the day after interviews as their goal is to fill that position as quick  Try to get their "preferred" number on the reference form.

I tell my final candidates to contact their references FIRST to let them know I will be reaching out to them over the next few days to try to make it easier for myself!

Normally it takes about a week to check references.
