How long does it take for 1 gallon of water to be dechlorinated naturally?

and does the time it takes change with more water?

They say it takes 24 hours for chlorine to evaporate out of water but a lot of places use chloramine and it won't come out without using a conditioner.

I let all my water sit for 72 hours and i haven't had a problem yet
