  1. The 'thing' is called a bale.  A bale of hay.

  2. it depends on the horse....

  3. A bale of hay or a biscuit?

A bale sometimes has about 12 biscuits, depending on the size you give them, so feeding twice a day. Would last almost a week. But how long does it take to eat a biscuit? Well my horses would demolish one in about 5 minutes I think. But I've never really timed them!

  4. A bale or a biscuit/flake?

Do you mean how many feeds would it last, or how long would a horse take to eat it if left with the lot?

  5. By "thing", do you mean "bale" of hay? Why don't you just feed him/her every day? Or do you plan on leaving for a while on vacation? I give my horses roughly about a thumb and a half thick "slice" of hay a day, each. Figure that out, I suppose, for your self. But I warn you: horses continually graze all day, so if it has feed, he will continually graze, so about two to three days would be my guess. If you are leaving for a time, get someone you trust to help make sure he has cool, fresh water and food.

  6. i don't know but the thing is a bale

  7. one bale of hay usually costs about 4.00 or 4.50 depending on your area so yea, hay has gone up because it is becoming harder to harvest, hope this really helps you!!!
