How long does it take for Oral Thrush to clear up?

Both my doctor's office and my oral surgeon's office are closed until Monday.

I first noticed it on Thursday, but didn't put a name on it until Friday (with the help of my mother, a nurse). I looked up more information here and went to the store. I got Acidophilus capsules, which I've been taking since last night.

Does anybody know how long it will take to restore the flora in my mouth to normal and get rid of it? Or am I still going to have to wait to see my doctor and get a prescription?

You will also need one of those strong mouthwashes specifically for gum disease and thrush.  The pharmacist should be able to recommend something.  If it is not gone in a few days you will have to get some tablets from the doctor.
