On the Royal Mail website it says it would take the same time as 'airmail' or 'surface mail' however this is not specific in that it does not say how long it would take to get to Australia and therefore I would allow the maximum amount of days/weeks. Anyway, think about how many planes/boats are going to Australia every day and then think how quickly they get there. I would say it shouldn't be long.
