How long does it take for a administrative review of visa at us embassy?

i married my cambodian wife in april of 2006, in phnom penh cambodia/ 1 year later got approval./ and had interview at us embassy in phnom penh cambodia/ my wife is 40 yers old two teen age daughters divorced 6 years from cambodian husband iam a american citizen administrative review now on the 7th week

It could be five years from now, or it could be tomorrow.  It is up to the US Consulate administrators handling your file.

Unfortunately, America's Department of Homeland Security has screwed things up for Legal Immigrants who are doing everything properly.

If they have to send an investigator out to do a field investigation it could take a while.  They normally wait until there are 5 or 6 cases from the same general geographic area before dispatching the investigator.

I knew a woman in the Philippines whose case went to the visa fraud unit and the investigation took almost a year.
