How long does it take for a cheque to clear in a credit union in b.C. ?

I deposited a cheque given to me in small claims court a month ago. How long do I have to wait to be sure he does not stop payment or do something else to s***w me out of this money. I put liens on his properties and have to remove them but want to be sure the cheque is good before doing so. He is a multi millionaire and dishonest so knows all the ropes which I don't

You should ask your credit union this question.  I would think that if it's been a month since you made the deposit, you would already have seen the check being returned if it was coming back.  It should be okay but call your credit union to be sure.

You should always take any questions having to do with your account right to your credit union.  They are the ones who will give you the proper answer.
