  1. We can race...OK?

I'm in California, and I was told it is six months from the original filing and then right after the judge makes his ruling...you don't have to wait for the court doc copies.

I've been in my divorce here for eleven years and it will be final in 2009 at twelve years...I'm hoping around April. Let's go to Skates by the Bay in San Francisco or the Rusty Pelican in Newport to celebrate...OK?

I pasted a previous answer to the same question below for you...

  2. I think after you sign the final papers it takes 60 days for them to send your decree in the mail. Don't quote me but I am pretty sure. It is final when you sign and file them, and as long as you have waited the 6 months from the original filling date then you are good to go! I filed in January but it has been a contested divorce, now our final hearing is in Oct and my attorney said if we agree and sign that day we get the decree in the mail within the 60 days.....

Good luck, I can't wait for mine either!

  3. 6 months. I know. How? I was divorced in Ca.
