  1. It all depends really what kind of water it's in and how much bait fish are available. Not every fish grows the same even if they're in the same water as another it's all genetics and the food available. Good luck!

  2. Like Coley said, fish are only grow as big as the food supply around them will support them to.This being the main reason you'll never find a record setting bass in a local pond.

  3. It will depend on where the water is located. Bass are cold blooded creatures and the warmer growing season would be in the south where it is warmer longer and thier metabolism is higher and feed more. the northern states have a shorter growing season because of the colder months. they will eat less because of thier metabolism will slow down. I would say a pound bass in florida could be a year old where one in michigan might be 6 months old. good question, hope this clears it up for you.

  4. Some of the biggest bass I've caught have been in local ponds that are less than an acre. There are plenty of big ones to be caught on a big lake, but the little ponds can be great places as well. Usually bass will hit 1 pound after a year and a half. If you have good food sources in a pond for bass (minnows and bream) they can grow to be real giants in 3-4 years. I have a few friends that caught 10 pounders out of ponds, my biggest pond bass is 5.. Got a picture if you want proof...

  5. depends on how much they feed!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. My guess, in the south, is about a year.

  7. It also depends on if they are a "Natural" Bass or they have been genetically engineered...I know Auburn University has been genetically engineering bass for years...I know of two of their bass..."The Gorilla Bass" which is a mix between a Florida Strain and a Northern Strain with certain characteristics...and it is a dumb, fast growing bass...then the "Tiger Bass" which is a mix of the same two with certain characteristics...and it is a aggressive fast growing bass...they say that those bass can grow as much as three or more pounds a year...

  8. hey man! lol today i was at my grandmas house and i caught like a 1-2 maybe even 3 pounder and they just stocked it last year! so i would say a year maybe a year and a half. (best answer?)
