  1. Here is a newsflash.

WHY DO IT AT ALL. Can't you say no to everyone else doing it.

Maybe if you ask enough people you will get the answer you want, till then, STOP HARASSING your mother. NO MEANS NO. Learn it.

  2. To the person above me: did she say that she harassed her mother? Or that she was doing it because everyone else had it? No need to be a douche bag.

Anyway, it took about two weeks for my lip to completely heal. I didn't take my first ring out for a month, so if you get it done now, it should be fine.

Even then, if you're not comfortable removing it by the time you have a game, you should ask your coach if wearing a clear retainer stud would be fine. Its not very noticeable, and its what my boss would have everyone with facial piercings do at work.

  3. Lip piercings generally heal in about 3 months. Being fully healed and feeling fully healed are two completely different things. Just as with being sick, feeling better does not mean it's all savvy.

Even after the piercing is fully healed, it is not recommended you leave out the stud for a length of time. They, however, make quartz retainers to hide piercings. I know that you cannot have metal in a piercing for soccer, but I've gotten away with quartz stud before.

I had my lip pierced for 5 months and it closed up in 5 minutes after taking the stud out, so whether or not the hole closes up quickly or slowly depends on your body. If you don't think you can get away with a quartz retainer, don't get the piercing. It's honestly not worth the pain just for it close up 2 seconds after you take the stud out.

Quartz retainers can be found at jewelry websites such as Tribalectic.com
