How long does it take for a manga to become an anime?

There is nothing automatic about the process. The determining factor would be projections of a large enough audience to support an anime, which most likely means that only the more popular manga are selected to serve as the basis of an anime. Sales would be the measure of popularity that would carry the most weight, but letters and e-mails from readers and sales of merchandising items associated with the manga would also be taken into account. I imagine the process of figuring out the relative popularity of a manga is complicated since most manga publications are thick anthologies. Chances are a particular manga series would have to have high sales in the form of albums before it would even be considered for development as an anime.

The process of getting a manga converted into an anime series would be highly competative, and relatively few would make the grade. I suspect the minimum number of regular readers would probably have to be as high as a million before a manga series would be considered for development into an anime series. A mere number of appearances or the survival of a manga series for a certain minimum number of months most likely wouldn't be considered. Of course, certain other factors might come into play, such as a manga series having something in common with an anime series that has become very popular and winding up being offered as an imitation. Some animes are original and only become featured in manga form after they become hits.

its all about if it is popular or not

if alot of people are reading it then they will make it into a anime (like inuyasha)

but if the manga does not get a lot of reader then they most likly make it into an anime.
