How long does it take for a newly published book to be available in our libraryy?

I want to read the new book about Madonna by her brother but I don't want to pay for it until Madonna writes it herself. She's a good business woman so i'm curious as to what it took for her to get there.

Depends on your library's budget and demands for the book.  It could be that they already have it but there is a waiting list for copies.
