  1. 12 weeks the early variety april to mid june,it faster but less potatoes.

After that 16 weeks which is longer but more potatoes.

more spuds are produced in fertile, moist, sunny, earthed up conditions

  2. from 3 months but depend on the type try this link

    good luck

  3. There are a great variety of types of potatoe with variations on the length of their growing time. Generally there are two main seasons,(1)  The early crop, these are better grown in reasonably warm climates, in places like Eygpt, or Jersey, This crop is a much smaller variety but matures much earlier,

Planted in March, they are ready for digging in May June time. Then there is the main crop, planted in March/early April, clearly prefer a less warm climate like UK/Ireland, there do not mature until October/November and must be harvested before the frosts set in. The crop volumn is much greater, the potatoes are much bigger. Potatoes can also be grown on pots too, one tuber to a pot and you will get maybe 6/7 good new potatoes, and probably quicker too. .

  4. It depends on the variety, but thumb of rule is from aroun 120 to 150 days before you can start harvesting.  Usually you start harvesting when the leaves start dying off.  You can dig early to have small potatoes.

Careful when you dig them up, they are root tubers and very shallow growers.  DO NOT wash them off, just brush off the excess dirt and store them in a dark, dry, cool place.
