How long does it take for an e-check to clear using paypal?

Alright so i sold a pair of shoes on ebay and the buyer sent me an e-check to my paypal on 7/2/08 and it said that the expected clearing date would be 7/9/08 but it still hasn't cleared. I wonder if its because im not Verified. Is anybody else having the same problem? Is there any reasons as to why it may not be clearing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Being and Ebay Vet.  myself of 4 years, usually it takes 4 days BUT rarely it can take up to 7-10. Once I had one that took exactly 10 days.  If there is a issue with the payment usually it will be notified to your buyer right away, and they will contact you about the issue. If it has the hourglass on your seller screen you can be assured the payment is in the process of being cleared.

The July 4th holiday may add a day or 2 and add to the delay.

It can take 10-14 Business days.   Just like a real check. Between July 2 and July 9 are only 4 business days.  Don't do anything until the check clears, or bounces.  It has nothing to do with your Paypal  status and everything to do with the banking industry.

We have a verified business account with Paypal, and e-checks take anywhere from 8 to 15 business days to clear
