I would disagree with the above sender. I sent and received many packages from Romania in the many years I have been here. How many days it takes for a package to get here depends on: where you are in North America, how the package is sent, what time of the year it's sent and your luck.

To give you an example using standard airmail to somewhere in the Eastern USA like Chicago area it would take on average 1.5-2.5 weeks. However around Christmas or if you get unlucky it can take up to 1.5 months on rare ocasions. Surface mail would take a lot longer. For Chicago area I would estimate the average to be 2 months. I sent only 2 surface packages from my location(Alaska) and they arrived in 3 and 5 months respectively.

Packages sent using expedited services usually take 3-5 business days if sent from major Romanian cities. The cost is very high but the package can be easilly tracked online and offers other benefits.

So, to sum it all up, surface mail is the longest probably as long as 3 months, airmail 1.5-2.5 weeks but might be more around Holidays and if you're unlucky, expedited service like DHL,Fedex 3-5 business days on average.
