How long does it take for d-con mouse killer to take effect?

Does water have to be available for it to work?This rodent has been around for a week and it's still eating the d-con.

why would you want to kill a mouse? that's nasty, you should just catch it and let it go somewhere, dont kill thinks that'd nasty, i dont think the mouse means to be a pest

The may be more than one rodent.  Perhaps it is a larger animal than you think, e.g. a groundhog.

Water is not the problem.
