How long does it take for dread locks to fully form???

I'm really trying to get dreads but its kind of hard and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.

  2. You can get them done for you at a hair dresser it takes about 20 minutes for EACH dread. check out this site, they have EVERYTHING you need to know.

There are a lot of factors involved on how long it takes locks to fully mature or "form".  It depends on the technique or method that is used.  It depends on the texture of hair.  It depends on the length of hair.  It depends on the who is doing the work.  (LOL).  It depends on the diameter of the lock and the care that is given to the dread-locks.    It can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to mature; they may have the appearance of dreadlocks in the beginning but it takes time and patience for the locks to fully reach the maturity.  It is best to get a consultation with a real Loctician.  The best to you and your dreadlocks and much love
