  1. if its cut green 1 year if its been down/dead about 6 months


  2. We let it sit for a year after it's split.

    If you don't split it first, it doesn't season as well.

  3. One year. After cutting, it should be stacked and the top covered to prevent rain from soaking into it. The sides should be left open to allow airflow to help in drying it out.

  4. One year is the standard industry answer, at least when they're selling cords of firewood.

  5. One complete season.  ie: fire wood cut this winter season will not be ready until next winter season.  About one year.
