How long does it take for gaps to fill?

Question

I got braces in May and premolar extractions in April. My question is, how long would it take for the gaps to be filled? My ortho said that I need braces for 1.5 years.

I had two teeth pulled a couple years ago, and it took a few months for the gaps to be completely filled. Having braces may have sped up the filling-up process.

You're probably gonna have to wear braces for more than 1.5 years. I'm getting mines off in 2 weeks and I've had them for over 3 years when I was only suppose to wear them for 2.5 years!

I personally didn't have any gaps but my brother and sister do and now it's totally gone. It'll go away on it's own; you can't really keep check every week or day if your gap got any smaller. Honestly, it'll take a few months then you'll start seeing change. But don't worry, in the end you'll end up with a perfect smile :)
