How long does it take for hydrogen peroxide to whiten your teeth?

If you only have a week I don't think it's going to work!  I tried doing hydrogen peroxide when I wanted to brighten my smile and it took foreeeeeever!  I ended up getting Celebrity Smile whitener from http://mycelebsmile.com/y/ and it was amazing.  Like one hour later after applying the whitener, my teeth were SO much whiter!  Anyway, that's what I would try if you only have a week...

Hydrogen peroxide (by itself) is not used to whiten teeth.  It's a different peroxide formula usually in gels of various strengths that the Dentist uses.  I've wasted my money on Crest Whitestrips (Check the box again...main ingredient WATER, then Glycerin, THEN Hydrogen Peroxide, etc.) and pastes and they work for some and not others (me).  I tried Celebrity s**y Teeth after seeing it on talk shows and it costs $50 and I gave it a try.  It lightened my teeth 4-5 shades in 2 weeks which was 4-5 shades better than the "professional Strength" Crest strips I tried for months.  Do some research before you try anything.

crest whitening strips main ingredient IS hydrogen peroxide(just checked my box to be sure).but they are alot more expensive than a bottle of peroxide.I don't know how long it would take to whiten your teeth but just do a gargle rinse or even brush(as i do) with peroxide twice a day-no more than that-and hope for the best.

forget hydrogen peroxide, if it whitened teeth at all it would be in tooth paste or at least recomended to use by dentists and is it? no , for a reason too. It has it's own purpose which doesnt involve teeth.

I do not use anything other than a toothbrush & toothpaste & brush twice a day & my teeth are bright & I have a shiny smile.
