  1. about 3 or 4 years and 5 or 6 it usually grows a foot a year and a half

  2. Size of the enclosure does NOT affect how big a reptile will grow BUT a cage that is too small will cause stress and illness which can lead to stunting.  A lot of factors affect growth, including correct temperatures, humidity, UVB lighting, and diet.  A healthy, well cared for iggy will easily grow to 4-6 feet long in 3+ years.

  3. Iguanas will grow slower if you keep them as a baby in a small aquarium, so the bigger the tank is, the quicker their growth will be. I don't think that's scientifically proven, but it's what ive heard.

My iguana right now is 4 feet long, and hes about 2.5 - 3 years old according to the pound i got him from. I'm guessing he'll be 5-6 ft in about 2 years.

  4. hey your the guy who answered my question so ill tell you. it took my iguana 5 years. she would have been bigger if her tail hadnt been cut off. the bigger enviornment you put them in the bigger they will grow.  for 5- 6 feet id have to say maybe 7-8 years depending on the enviornment
