How long does it take for mail to come from North America to the UK?

I am expecting a parcel from America and it has taken 2 weeks. I live in London. Does it take a long time for ordinary mail to be delivered?

It depends on the size and method/cost of the actual postage.  A letter generally takes about 10 days, an average sized package sent standard air mail can take 2-3 weeks.  I've sent stuff from US to UK and most it's taken is 3 weeks.
