  1. when you get new rotors, they are ready to go, there is no "breaking in"  smoking could be cause by some oil on the rotors, take your wheel off and find out, clean them and see

  2. mine did too.i put new rotors and new pads on mine and when i stop, smoke would come up around the car, but it quit in about a week.

  3. it sounds like your calipers are hanging up

  4. The calipers are probably sticking.  The slides need to be lubed or the calipers replaced.

  5. There should not be any smoke at all. I guess it is possible if some brake fluid was spilled on the rotor for some burning, but that shouldn't last more than a few seconds.

Go back to whoever installed them and tell them! It may be unsafe for you to be assuming that they are functioning properly!

  6. Shaqueen, did you install them yourself? did you use brake clean and clean rags and remove the shipping spray they had on the rotors? they spray the coating to keep the rotors from rusting in shipment and if you didnt clean them the spray will coat your brake pads and cause burning.

  7. Smoking?  That has nothing to do with breaking in!

That's incorrectly installed!  Take it back to the shop!
