How long does it take for price of crude oil on a specific day to reflect the price at the pump?

trying to figure out when is the best time to get gas using recent crude oil price

Based on past observations, it depends on whether the price goes up or down. If it goes up, the price on the pump is reflected almost immediately. But a lower price seems to take days.

If an American holiday is approaching, the price of crude doesn't appear to be a factor. Pump prices always go up.
