  1. Well your teeth are almost always moving, but they aren't going to shift a great deal.....like they aren't gonna go back to the way they were before you had braces. It's not gonna be a very visible change either. Only you will be able to notice it when you put on your retainers because they'll feel a little tight for a couple days when you first put them on. If anything, ask your ortho for something temporary.....or even better for those permanent retainers they put on the back of your teeth. But overall, you shouldn't be too worried.....hope I helped =]

  2. what? 3 week my a$$!!!

after i got mine off, i got fitted for it, waited in the office for about 30-45 mins and then got it.

i would have to think its quite possible that your teeth could shift. just getting your braces off so now they dont have any "support" or anything...and no retainers for 3 weeks?!

this actually shocks me. ssomethings screwy there....................

i would phone back and insist on getting them sooner. express your concerns about your teeth shifting before then..

  4. Well, I had and still have retainers, and I must admit, after 3 weeks my teeth had totally bent, and it hurt to wear retainers.  However, it's different for different people, because my friends don't wear retainers and their teeth are so straight!  It depends on how stubborn your teeth are, mine are killer, and won't stop moving.  I have to wear retainers all the time, and sometimes, my teeth will begin moving within an hour of not wearing retainers.  I hate my teeth.  But I can give you one tip.  Wear retainers, and DO NOT take them off, because you WILL regret it when your teeth move after weeks of not wearing them, and when you begin to wear them again, your teeth will hurt like h**l.

    Hope I helped!
