How long does it take for the US Embassy in the Philippines to approve tourist Visas to the US?

My friend from SC wants me to be there by first week of September. I don't know if I've got enough time! >.<

  1. If you try and get an appointment now, your earliest date will be about 18 days from now. IF you pass the interview, it takes 3 business days to process. I am not sure how fast the courier can deliver your stamped passport back to you. You pay for this service too. But anyways...good luck!**


  2. You may have a very hard time and even with the visa it does not guarantee the immigration official at the airport in the US will allow you to enter.

    Philippine citizens have one of the highest overstay rates and most do not get a visa.

    it depends on the embassy, on how long they will verify the documents for your visa etc.

    as a rule at the interview they say how long is the processing time.

  4. Depends on the number of applications they have to process. A Japanese friend of mine took 2 days to get his visa to go to the US.

    I heard the Philippines is on a special watch list of the US since so many Filipinos come here using tourist visas and never go back so they check it out more thoroughly I guess.
