How long does it take for the doctor to insert the speculum?

Just so I know what to expect.I cant wait to have it over with.I dread it.The speculum always scared me.Its the only thing that seems to be my hugest fear.This is the hardest part of the exam for me.Need someone to answer that his been through it and can give me an example of how long it might take.

the dr will have you lay back, s/he will insert the speculum (it'll only be seconds for it to go in, then s/he will probably swab your cervix with a long q-tip which will be maybe another 5 seconds or so and then it will be all over 10 to 20 seconds for the whole process and that's if you're being tested for multiple STD's etc. like they do when you're pregnant. Try to breathe out when the speculum goes in and don't clench down there or you'll tighten up, squeeze your hands or your teeth if you have to but not your crotch lol.
