How long does it take for the irs to trace the stimulus check

i just called them and they have to put a ttrace on it. anyone know how long that can take

  1. Six to eight weeks.  IRS must research first that the check was never cashed.  


  2. 6 weeks.

    If the check was never cashed, they reissue it.

    If it was cashed, they give you a copy and steps to take if it wasn't you who cashed it.
