How long does it take for the tailfeathers on a bird to grow back once it as been attacked?

Too bad you did not say what bird you are refering to,but i will give you an example.

I breed and keep canaries,and some time they pull or pluck each other.The new tail feathers will be back full grown in a six week span.

Hope this will help you.Wild birds will be able to fly without their tail feathers,no problem.
